More people than ever before are becoming aware of the energy anatomy of the human body. In the Orient, various energy body systems, practices, and healing techniques have been used for centuries. Because of the influence of East Indian teachers on the Western World in the late nineteenth and throughout the twentieth century, the term yoga has become very familiar. So too, the chakras, wheel-like vortexes of energy in the energy body, are known to many mainstream individuals. In the past 30 years, more and more energy practices from the Orient have made their way into the West. Two of the most prevalent are Reiki and Qigong. To some, these may seem like relative new-comers, but in actuality they have been practiced for at least 2500 years. Like yoga and all of the energy practices, Reiki and Qigong have many similarities. At the same time there are specific techniques within each that differ. Regardless, both Reiki and Qigong can be interwoven nicely into a group of practices that provide an integrated holistic model of energy body healing. This is our approach at Dreamweaver lodge.
Reiki is a Japanese word which means Universal (rey) Energy (kee). It is a simple, gentle, noninvasive hands-on healing method that was rediscovered from ancient Tibetan texts or sutras by Dr. Mikao Usui in the late 19th century. In 1973, Mrs. Hawayo Takata brought Reiki to the U.S., where it has become one of the most popular body energy healing techniques today. Reiki can relieve stress, reduce pain, and enhance wellness. It can be used to compliment any other medication or treatment, supporting and increasing the effectiveness. Reiki is traditionally passed to a student from a master through a series of attunements or initiations which open the student to be a clear channel for universal energy. Of course, since this energy is "universal" it is available to everyone regardless of attunement. What I found after my own attunements, however, is that even after ten years of energy body practice and healing work, I was able to increase the power and amount of energy flow into my own body and that of my clients after Reiki attunements. Reiki is also perhaps the easiest and simplest model of energy healing to learn and practice, although none the less powerful. For these reasons, I highly recommend Reiki training as the first step in learning body energy healing work
Enhanced Reiki Training Because of my training and practice of other forms of body energy work, I often refer to our Reiki program as an "enhanced" Reiki training for you will receive additional tools and instruction throughout all levels of Reiki training at Dreamweaver Lodge, that are not part of the traditional Usui Reiki curriculum. I have added these teachings to round out the basic Reiki training and create a more useful, responsible and ethical practice for all involved. Some of these include: an overview of energy anatomy from various traditions, a number of chakra work techniques, aura clearing, using Reiki with the Chinese meridian system and applying the use of hands and a pendulum for energy body assessment, the ethics and logistics of establishing a healing practice, incorporating essential oils, gemstones, sound vibration, color, flower remedies, and the assistance of angels, spirit guides and Masters in Spirit with Reiki. We also offer a variety of Qigong practices and meditation techniques that integrate well with Reiki. In advanced classes, detection and removal of entity attachment, Hopi BackWork, focusing, centered guidance, trauma release, karmic release: past life regression therapy and archetypal analysis, a form of medical astrology, are some of the elements of energy healing we offer in our program. In addition, I use and teach on all levels the use of the Violet Flame Seventh Ray energy to bring the highest level of clarity, light, power and protection to the work. I am assisted in the Reiki Trainings by my partner, Robert McTaggart, who is both an R.N. and a Reiki III practitioner. Often, Reiki Master Apprentices assist with classes as well. Karuna Reiki Training Karuna Reiki has its roots in Usui and Tibetan Reiki and was introduced to the modern world by William Lee Rand of the International Center for Reiki Training. Karuna is advanced healing energy for the new millennium that assists us in awakening to Universal Compassion. I find Karuna to be most helpful in psycho-spiritual healing. There is a strong emphasis on re-patterning of mental and emotional shadow material within the psyche which can then affect our physical bodies, our feelings, our thoughts, attitudes and behaviors and our spiritual connection. Carl Jung believed that it is the shadow that creates all imbalance and dis-ease in body, mind and spirit. The powerful symbols and techniques of Karuna Reiki can help balance and heal shadow issues caused by various forms of trauma throughout our lives. In addition, Karuna seems to raise our vibrational connection to guides, angels and masters in spirit through an opening and expansion of heart chakra energy. This process strengthens our ability to easily reach a state of centered guidance, where healing can take place very quickly, and to deepen into states of meditation and spiritual connection that can change both the practitioner's life and the lives of their students and clients. Certificates for all the Karuna trainings are awarded through the International Center for Reiki Training, the only organization offering this trademarked form of Reiki training. Our Reiki Training Program Anyone can learn Reiki who has an openness and desire to do so. Whether you are interested in Reiki for self healing, to help a friend or family member, or to become a professional practitioner, or ultimately a teacher, at Dreamweaver Lodge we offer Usui Reiki training and attunements in four levels and Karuna Reiki training in three levels to serve your needs. Each is more powerful than the previous one and each is prerequisite for the next level of training. We do accept students who have studied with other Reiki Masters. However, you may be required to complete some additional study so you are comfortable with our enhanced program. Practitioners complete levels I, II, and III as weekend intensives after which they can also study Karuna I and II. Usui Master Level is a one year apprenticeship for those called to teach and make Reiki a way of life. Only Usui Masters can complete Karuna Master training. Advanced Energy Healing Workshops In 2006-7 we will be offering by student request four non residential intensive workshops on unique and specialized energy healing techniques that Jaqui uses in her work as a psychotherpist, Reiki Master and Certified Body Energy Practitioner. The workshops are open to Level 2,3, and Master level Reiki practitioners of all traditions including Karuna Reiki. In addition, they are open to experienced practitioners of additional forms of body energy healing including but not limited to Vibrational Medicine, Therapeutic Touch, Polarity Therapy, Cranial Sacral Therapy, External Qi Healing and Acupuncture. Some are also open to psychologists, counselors, nurses, doctors, chiropractors and massage therapists. All students must have a strong working knowledge of chakras and basic energy anatomy. Below are Reiki and Advanced Energy Healing Classes offered at Dreamweaver

Although Reiki comes from the Tibetan tradition through the Japanese culture, broadly speaking, it is a type of Qigong. Qigong is a Chinese word which means energy (Qi) cultivation (gong). It is pronounced "chee kung" and is also spelled Chi Kung. The word is used in the West to name a wide range of practices, most originating from ancient Chinese Taoist tradition.
Sometimes it is referred to as Chinese or Taoist Yoga. These practices range from the simple to the complex and combine movement, meditation, breath, sound and visualization to stimulate the flow of vital energy or Qi/Chi, improve blood circulation, enhance immune function and intentionally alter brain wave frequency, heart rate and other organ functions. When practiced regularly, like cultivating a garden, Qigong can reduce stress, enhance energy, improve flexibility and strength, help reverse previous injury and disease, promote relaxation, build the immune system and promote healthy organ function and higher consciousness, all of which contribute to wellness of body, mind and spirit. Today, millions of people in China and around the world practice Qigong every day.

In 1992, I began teaching Qigong classes in Billings, MT, as part of my practice as a counselor and energy body healer. I founded the Qigong School at Dreamweaver Lodge in 1997, to offer classes, workshops and a five month certification training program in Qigong Inner Alchemy practices for individual healing and personal growth. This program is a synthesis of Qigong practices from the work of James MacRitchie, Damaris Jarboux, Master Mantak Chia and others. In 1998, I developed a ten month certification training for a group of students which offered both the Inner Alchemy training and External Qigong Healing Touch which includes Reiki I training and a synthesis of Qigong, some of the Energy Body Healing techniques from the Body Energy Center program, and other practices I have learned during my years of working with clients. Essentially, whatever I know and practice, I teach in this program. Either the five month or the ten month certification program is available to a group of four or more students willing to make the commitment to the entire series. In addition, I offer the following individual Qigong classes as one or two day intensives at Dreamweaver Lodge and, I am available to teach these in other communities. These courses are also part of the certification training in Qigong Inner Alchemy.
